Hurricanes of Love - Nitetrotter Session
Illustration Duane Jewett / Sound Engineering Nathan Gregory / Text Nathan Gregory - September 4, 2011
What words could ever begin to start describing Frank Hurricane, the soul behind Hurricanes of Love. The most consistently jolly creature on the planet. We first met Frank in Pensacola, FL where he wowed us with his complex guitar style while also play playing a kick drum with his foot. This all happened while he sang songs of mountain journeys and life endeavors. We were very excited to welcome Frank here in Chicago where he played a bunch of shows around the city and spread his love and friendship to many. We tracked this poetic session at the late Drone City and is accompanied by his tour mates and close friends Many Mansions on percussion. As Frank Hurricane himself would say, "Smoke a pound blunt," and jolm on this groovy session.
Also check out Hurricanes of Love live at the Medusa in Minneapolis courtesy of NitetrotterTV.
