Carver are 3 cool kids from Bettendorf,IA who like cool music, cool shows, and cool girls. In their spare time they are also fond of scouring old record collections, listening to tales of shows past, and running cross country. We recommend catching them live whenever you can. They may not look "punk", but their DIY attitudes tell a different story. Here is their fist NITETROTTER Session Carver "Older,Wiser" Carver-NITETROTTER Session by NITETROTTERS Recorded at NITETROTTER Studios in East Moline,Il
Pictures of A City have been QC mainstays for going on a couple years now. They do things on their own accord, and support people who support them. They are a weird group of dudes with solid jams. They are rumored to be playing on DAY 2 of NITETROTTER Fest in July. Hope you enjoy, Good Nite. Fred the Fighter-NITETROTTER Session by NITETROTTERS

Up Rise and Fall are not the angry guys that they sound like. They are actually a gang of nice guys. We love their vicious attack on the ears of the musical puritans.
We recorded this session one day when they came to Mixtapes to play a show. Expect a hell blazing set from these guys on day two of Nitetrotter Fest!
Well for now enjoy these tracks and goodnite.

Bob Bucko is an example of classic Iowa folk. His music is original but pays homage to the tradition it comes from. We love the original sense of unforced weirdness.
Randy Carter captured these recordings in Dubque, a Iowa town known for unforced weirdness. He wrote about Bob's three music projects Old Panther, Alma Sub Rosa, The Glimmer Blinken and his busy schedule of solo engagements. Bob also reportedly records feverish noise jams obsessively on his tascam. His behavior and eclectic leanings sounds R. Stevie Moore esque.
We look forward to Bob's set at the upcoming Nitetrotter Fest in East Moline this July. Enjoy this hot session from him and goodnite!

Marlo Eggplant is a solo female artist in what can often be a boys club. Her music is fucked up but precise. She is a woman that knows what she wants and seems to know how to get it. She has had a recent slew of releases and just completed a big U.S. tour. We at Nitetrotter enjoy her music and her personality. Recently she came and rocked Mixtapes. We look forward to hearing her play live again.
In the mean while enjoy this tasty session from Ms. Eggplant.

"The following mini comic book was part of a promotional collaboration between Walt Disney and General Mills. It features Mickey and Goofy, two distinct psychoactive drugs, surreptitious dosing, a bad shaman, and a "talking" elephant. When it was first produced, it was one of an 8-comic set that cost 15 cents plus one Wheaties-brand cereal box top."
Daytrotter.com has blocked several NITETROTTER employees from posting on their Faceboook fan page. We were just wondering about some recent changes made to their once "free" website. The original site had a small excerpt reading, "In case you're wondering, Daytrotter is a recording studio with a website. We invite musicians to our studio, record their songs, and give (give, as in ' for free, no strings attached') them to you, from our website. Simple. Of Course, if you're here then you probably already knew that. Please tell your friends. There are plenty of songs for everyone." This text no longer appears on their website. If you would like to send NITETROTTER $4 a month to view our site, you are more than welcome to. But it's still free, so fuck it.
Kasey Harrison is now playing guitar for Porcelain Silhouette. If you are not familiar with their aggressive sound then catch this video of them at the Geneseo Harvest Fest talent show in September
This is almost a year old but it is a video of a legendary performance by Club Sashay(Chicago's best pre recorded band) at Rotten Milk's infamous Bitchpork Festival. Mr Nitetrotter ended this night throwing his raman noodle soaked shoes over a telephone wire. Never had he seen so many naked chicks fucking watermelons with dildos.

This session is our pleasure to post. Viking Fuck is one of the few recent highly recommended weird wave bands from Iowa City. This sounds like fucked up carnival kraut rock coming out of Satan's boom box. Heavy psych for heavy times.
These guys ooze harmful psychic energy and you can hear it on the recording. Enjoy the next 14 minutes of Iowa punk weirdness!

Purple Chong is just what this shit can needs. He is a 21st century schwag shaman here to sonically deprogram the masses through fucked up sound waves. Watch out people, this guy wants to fuck your ears up.
His shows are legendary. One time in the at a yuppy bar in the Wrigleyville Neigborhood some Project Runway reject was having a fashion show. The fashion show consisted of 5-10 outfits tops of all bad neon punk get ups worn by preppy girls who came in plain clothes before changing in to their punk outfits. After the 10 minute fashion show was over two weird wave bands Rrrainbow Family and the Cosmic etc. and Purple Chong then followed by two chicago pop punk bands. Rrrainbow Family a free jam improv cult from the outer cosmos annoyed out the squares so bad that when Purple Chong played they couldn't take it. Right off the bat this chode in bondage pants and neon spikey hair ran on stage pulling the power while Purple Chong talked shit to the faux punx. Purple Chong's smooth talking manager Dude Sunrise was able to squeeze 20 bucks out of faux punx inc. who told him that Chong was the worst thing they have ever heard. When everyone got in the car someone yelled something and the faux punx chased after throwing beer cans. Victory!
Purple Chong is changing the group consciousness of this god damn nation! Enjoy his hot as hell but still tropically fresh Nitetrotter Session. Catch him at shows around Chicago and at Nitetrotter Fest this summer!

Trunks and Tales comes to us from Pennsylvania. Their songs have a soulful quality that should be noted. You can tell just by their approach. We love the lap steel on "Dead Streets".
I didn't get a chance to meet these guys but I hear that their album Year One on Beard Party has 27 tracks on it, and they don't really write the songs together. They also wanted everyone who reads this site to know that a sweet venue in Philly to play is called First Unitarian Church
As always enjoy these tracks and goodnite.

Motorcycle is the sound of the post sexually frustrated in the big city. Padraig Steadman moved this winter from the small town of Geneseo, Illinois to big cold Chicago, and most importantly he actually moved in to the Nitetrotter studio at Schwag City a apartment with a magical attic in the bustling neighborhood of Pilsen.
That is where we tracked this hot session. Motorcycle gave us two of his newer songs that are quite the treat for the current and future fans.
Enjoy!
Motorcycle - "Cool Down" and "Kites"
Recorded March 1, 2010. Schwag City Studio Chicago, Illinois.
