Manburger Surgical - NITETROTTER Session

Manburger Surgical are a three piece progressive psychedelic band heavily into puppetry, ventriloquism, strange concepts manifesting into wild improvisations while wearing body paint and unique costumes. Paul Feitzinger, Colin Sanderson and Mike Battaglia know that every day is Halloween at their shows and pour out buckets of bizarre vibes all over the crowd when they play to show it ! Every live show is very different from the last. They are a must see for anyone into sheer weirdness and a happy dose of WTF, so keep an eye out for them when they pass through your city because I really dig what these guys are doing and hope that you do too.

Peepholes - Live NITETROTTER Session

I met Peepholes a few years back at a festival in Manchester England. They were one of the bands that stood out the most, for their quirky song writing and kinetic stage antics. Upset The Rhthym just released their record and they are hopping the pond for a tour. The Peepholes were kind enough to do a recording for NITETROTTER.

Manhattan Raid recorded their session on Kendra's last night in town. The schwag super group at this session consisted of Brookes of El Is The Sound Of Joy, Kendra and Jillian from Names Divine, Joe aka Meester Magpie and John of Bomb Banks and Coughs fame. You may of seen them open up Nitetrotter Fest on day 3 with power jams of fury.

This session was chaotic to record but came out great. GOOD NITE

Sunshine Viper - NITETROTTER Session

Sunshine Viper is a project between Dan Davis and Jorge Tapia. They have been active for a couple of years and their output has been interesting. Live they are extremely loud so this session is a nice contrast. Don't worry though, its still heavy with a dose of psychedelia laced pop.

Christmas - NITETROTTER Session

Earlier this month Olympia's Christmas stopped by to play a hot and wild show we booked with Vaction Dad and Birthdays. Pat was going crazy on guitar, the vocals sounded great and the drumming was surf steady. After helping us dig through the venues garbage they followed us to crash at Schwag City along with the other bands and some stragglers. By this time SC was smelling strongly of boy and mexican food. They woke up early and all tried to disinfect Pat X-mas' ear. After that shenanigans they came upstairs to the magic attic to record some crucial jams.

This session came out great and is one of our favorites to date. We hope we can get them back sometime soon! GOOD NITE

Prince Rama debuts #3 on Billboard New Age charts


Within just a few months of headlining the last night of the prestigious NITETROTTER Fest, Prince Rama have released a full length album on Paw Tracks which debuted at #3 on the Billboard New Age music charts. They bumped Yanni and currently sit two spots down from Enya. We are speechless.

Sam Martin - NITETROTTER Session

This young man from Omaha was kind enough to stop by Schwag City one hot September afternoon to record this session. You may know him from his band Capgun Coup who are on Conor Oberst's label Team Love.

This music has an eerie quality that is total creep folk, definitely perking our ears. Really digging the lyric "just cause every boy wants you to incubate his baby". I really hope we hear more from Sam Martin soon.

Wolfman America - NITETROTTER Session

I first met this guy like 3 years ago at some kind of Rainbow Family function which is always a psychic voyage into the world of noise. The second time I met him he was just coming out of an art gallery that was hosting a performance piece of some christ like character pissing in a gold chalice. One never forgets people that you meet under these circumstances.

The Wolfman took off a year or so ago for last I heard the woods in the pacific northwest. He came back with a mane and some new songs. Well we hope you enjoy our latest session from Wolfman America. GOOD NITE!
